Kerry O’Grady isn’t a trainer. In fact, she’s not even a fitness instructor. She is, however, a fitness class guru, having taken just about everything (once) in NYC. Obsessed with her #fitlife, she began @KerryLeeintheCityFit to encourage others to not only try different classes across the five boroughs, but inspire people from around the country to get up and move (and look fabulous doing it. Spoiler: No wearing 10-year-old T-shirts and pj pants to workout). Her brash honesty, personal struggles, heart-warming advice, and sarcastic personality makes her someone all active people can relate to, no matter if they’re just getting back into the workout game, or spend most of their paycheck at SoulCycle.

Kerry O’Grady is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies – Division of Programs in Business. Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at a number of institutions since 2008 – and beginning at NYUSPS in 2011 – she teaches in both the M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communication and M.S. in Integrated Marketing programs, and has previously taught in Continuing Education and the High School Academy. An award-winning integrated marketing and advertising professional, past professional positions include Associate Director, Integrated Marketing for Women’s Health magazine, Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing at Parents, FamilyFun, and American Baby magazines (Meredith Corp.), Business Development Manager, La Voz and TV y Mas, and Advertising Executive, The Arizona Republic (Gannett, Inc.). She’s also the recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Service Award from NYUSPS for excellence in teaching and leadership. She holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) in Journalism and English from UMass-Amherst and an M.S. Public Relations & Corporate Communication from NYUSPS. She’s also a sought-after media expert in social media, branding, and pop culture, having been featured in The New York Post, The Telegraph, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe (to name a few). She’s also been on ABC Radio, Good Morning America, The Meredith Viera Show, CBS Denver, and The Better Show.
